Alan Richard Bio

Alan Richard has over 20 years of Human Resources and Talent Management experience. He is ferociously passionate about building and evolving pragmatic HR and talent practices that meet the demands of the company’s growth goals. At Enel North America, he is responsible for providing leadership for the complete employee life-cycle, ensuring the best employee experience from recruiting through retire for North American businesses.

Before joining Enel, Alan was Head of Talent at Harvey Building Products, where he led the Human Resources function for the Distribution and Corporate Groups, including HR business partners, employee relations, and compensation planning. He also had responsibility for setting company-wide talent strategy around talent development, performance management, talent review, succession management, and organizational development.

He has also held leadership roles responsible for talent and learning practices at Liberty Mutual Insurance and State Street Corporation, where he was responsible for the design and execution of global talent and learning practices.

Alan began his career on the business side, where he demonstrated career progression outside of the Human Resources function. It was during these pivotal career experiences when he realized his true passion for connecting company strategies to people strategies. Alan holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is a certified practitioner of several talent assessment tools such as The Predictive Index.
