Developing Future Fit Leaders
In this session we will explore what noted futurist Bob Johansen has deemed “leadership literacies”—combinations of competencies, disciplines, practices, and worldviews—that will be essential if leaders are to thrive over the next decade given explosive changes in the ways we connect, work, learn, and lead. Increasingly, two things matter most to us in the talent development space: 1) the ability to identify potential for the new demands of leadership accurately and early, and 2) proven developmental approaches to accelerate that potential and achieve business impact.
What we will explore and learn together in this session:
- The most critical future-focused capabilities (leadership literacies) that will enable tomorrow’s leaders to be fit to lead
- A validated model for early identification of high-potential leadership capabilities that is distinct from current performance excellence
- The best approaches for ensuring that rising leaders avoid derailment and are equipped for the future demands of expanded leadership responsibilities
