Part I: The Program

Who You Are is How You Lead: Developing the Best in You to Develop the Best in Others

We expect leaders to bring out the best in their teams, and it requires more than strategies and smarts to do this well. Who we are is how we lead, and that means today’s leaders need to know themselves — their blind spots, values, possibilities, patterns and old stories. They need to be tuned in to the inner game of leadership to be able to create the conditions that will enable transformational change.

This highly interactive session will explore how a leader’s internal landscape impacts how they lead, delving into the stories that drive each of us and our presence as a leader. You’ll learn how the temptation to “tell and rescue” gets in the way of growing our best people and discover the powerful combination of courage and heart in the work of developing others.

All attendees will receive a copy of Pam McLean’s highly acclaimed book, “Self as Coach, Self as Leader: Developing the Best in You to Develop the Best in Others”, filled with actionable resources, exercises and roadmaps for applying these principles to your daily practice.

Part II: The Workshop

Cultivating Your Capacity as Leader from the Inside Out

This workshop will immediately follow the March Program from 11:30 am - 1:30pm and includes lunch.
Space is limited.  Registration is $49 for members and $99 for non-members.

To meet the broad spectrum of issues and challenges confronted by today’s leaders, we need to build our own breadth of capacity. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create the conditions to explore what’s below the surface, where deeper change can occur — change that transforms us as leaders and allows us to do our best work. You’ll learn the six dimensions of the “Self as Coach” model, with opportunities to reflect, engage in practices and develop your own roadmap for development.
